Lincoln Cars - Safety is Number One at Lincoln - by TheCarSites.com Staff

It doesn't matter how impeccable a car's exterior is, how many miles to the
gallon it receives, or how quickly the engine will take you from 0 mph to 60
mph - if you won?t walk away from a crash. At Lincoln, safety is their number
one concern and in the 2005 line, they made sure that you and your family?s
safety is protected.

The government demands that every new vehicle on the market has dual air bags
installed as standard as well as undergo a 5 star rated safety testing system
with multiple components including a mathematically calculated rollover
resistance test. Lincoln consistently scores high on these tests for each new
vehicle they introduce.

The 2005 Lincoln Aviator, the 2005 Lincoln Town Car, and the 2005 Lincoln
Navigator both have electronic stability control and 4 wheel ABS and traction
control to help balance the vehicle and discourage tipping. Both vehicles also
offer adjustable upper safety belts in both the front and rear seats as
well as a rear center lap/ shoulder belt, child seat lower anchoring, and a rear seat
head restraint so that every passenger in the car has maximum security.
Pretensioners are also installed as a standard feature and enhance the
effectiveness of each seat belt.

In addition to the standard dual front airbags, both the 2005 Lincoln
Navigator and the 2005 Lincoln Aviator have a front head airbag installed on every
vehicle while the 2005 Lincoln Town Car offers front head and side airbags.
Other features in all three vehicles include a trunk release, tire pressure
monitor, and an energy management feature that allow you to more easily and
efficiently utilize your vehicle and monitor maintenance and upkeep. The 2005
Lincoln Town Car 4 Door, the premiere luxury vehicle, also offers auto-dimming
rearview mirrors.

The frontal impact on the driver and passenger sides on all three
vehicles each received 5 stars. The 2005 Lincoln Town Car 4 Door also won itself a 5 star No
Tip rating as well as 5 star ratings on side impact for front and rear
occupants.

With any one of the 2005 Lincoln vehicles, you can rest assured that
your family is safe in the event of a crash. Government tests and a long history of safety
combine to give you the comfort and assurance you need to know that your
Lincoln is the safest car on the streets.
